Vitamin A shot- Recipe

The beautiful weather of winter has finally arrived in Mumbai!!! There is a slight chill in the temperature and it feels awesome.

Apart from the weather (and the fact that you can dress up in lovely winter wear), the best part about winter is the lovely produce that you get. Fresh green vegetables and all kinds of delicious fruits are available abundantly. You are literally spoilt for choice.

I know, I know, many of you don’t like green leafy veggies. And hence you miss out on the host of benefits you could get from them. No worries. I have a recipe today which can be had in a glass.

Winter also brings with it problems of dry skin. In my last post – “Vitamin C shot – Recipe” I had mentioned how nature arranges stuff for us so beautifully. So the vitamin A rich spinach and carrot are abundantly available to help us maintain our skin texture.

Let us look at the benefits of vitamin A.

  1. Ensures soft and supple skin.
  2. Slows the aging process.
  3. Prevents acne.
  4. Improves immunity.
  5. Ensures healthy eyes.
  6. Good antioxidant.
  7. Fights inflammation.
  8. Supports cell growth.

So today I have a recipe for you which will give you your daily dose of vitamin A.

Serves 2


2 bunches of spinach

4 carrots

1/2 cup water

a sprig of fresh fennel (green part)


  1. Combine ingredients and blend until smooth.
  2. Strain through a sieve and serve immediately.



Enjoy this vitamin A packed juice. 🙂
